Seattle Sketch Bomb #2

I was unaware of the first one, but hopefully I can attend all subsequent ones.

We had 'Classic Video Game Characters', 'Free-draw' (Rollergirl), 'Conflict', and 'Zombie.'

Sketch Junk Again

The randomness!

The girl on the right is Becky, from Project G.eeK.eR. I found it on Hulu today. Oh the memories! And the unfortunate character design and poor animation of the mid-1990s.

Torn From My Sketchbook

Things I drew.

Yeah, I fill page after page with junk getting my ideas to come to fruition. Only one thing on each page is actually practical. Needed new art for the Rat City poster. Check out the smile on the girl with the skull on page 1. That's like my favorite thing out of all 3 drawings. Drawn while watching Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. Awesome.
And I got to find out who the final Cylon is.

Thundersuck

Maybe I'll include a rat.

Listening to AC/DC and drawing tumbnails. Still no definitive idea for my poster. It's so frustrating not having any kind of theme to work off of. I want to watch Bender's Game again.

Designers...

Make it work.

I am absolutely blank on what to do on this new poster. It's the March bout for the Rat City Rollergirls, and I'm not doing a St. Patrick's day theme. But they have no themes for their bouts this year. So I have this blank paper, and it is so intimidating. There's no Venn-diagram for creation.

I'm also hindered by not having any new music. The last album I got was Rob Zombie's Educated Horses. A fine album though it is, I'm feeling a little bored with it. No new comics of late either. I haven't left the house for non-work activities in more than a month and certainly haven't had time to hit the comic stop. Even when I've had time, there's been ice. (My arch nemesis.)

Anyway. Still haven't lit myself on fire and run screaming through the snow, so I've got that going for me.

Doc Holiday

He has the right to remain drunk and Val Kilmer.

Working from Tom Bancroft's book on character design while watching Tombstone.

Back to Back

Terrible concept sketches. Deacon Blue & Garret Hobart. Go ahead, look them up. I dare you. I only half-chose the names. These are just the first concept sketches. Actual character shetches will be radically different.

Face Off

Webcomic concept sketches.Watching Dragnet while I work. I love Dragnet. I love the episodes about drugs. They're such dicks about it. They got a kid laid out on a slab in the morgue, Jack Webb is talking to his parents about how they're failures and going on, then turns right to the camera: "Maybe you should have talked to your kids about marijuana."

Some Crap

Crap I draw when I can't think of stuff. I was just tired from my stupid work schedule.

The best thing I drew: Lizard.
